Ich hab wohl nach einem systemupdate meine soundfunktionalität verloren, sprich früher ging der sound und jetzt nicht mehr (ganz und gar nicht, weder mp3 noch in youtube-videos, etc). Pulseaudio war (und ist wohl noch) installiert (soweit ich das als noob beurteilen kann).

Dir ist schon klar, dass im Zuge der Veränderungen im Kernel durchaus einmal was nicht gleich mit der neuen Version funktioniert und damit die Vorgänger-Version zu testen ist um auszuschliessen, dass deine Hardware defekt ist? Dir ist schon klar, dass Arch eine Rolling-Release-Distro ist und damit (im selten Fall) auch mal ein Update dir Probleme bereiten kann?
Dir ist schon aufgefallen, dass du mit Infos nicht wirklich um dich wirfst und damit keiner sagen kann, ob evtl upstream Probleme bekannt sind?

der erste beitrag war nun wirklich nicht unfreudlich und trotzdem wurde es riguros ignoriert. ich brauche lösungsansätze und keine belehrungen, die nicht annähernd was mit dem topic zu tun haben.

Falls es dir nicht aufgefallen ist: Wir sind keine bezahlten Supporter, die der den A*** hinterhertragen müssen. Wir schreiben hier nur, weil es uns Spaß macht. Wenn es uns Spaß macht. Wenn du gleich pampig wirst, weil die Antwort dir nicht eloquent genug ist, darfst du dich nicht wundern, wenn niemand Lust hat, dir zu helfen.
Geh einfach. So jemanden wie dich will hier keiner. Bei so einer Einstellung wirst du nie was erreichen. Ganz ehrlich niemand hat hier die Pflich dir zu helfen. Und wenn du so ankommst, gehst du mir persoenlich am Arsch vorbei. Du solltest froh sein, dass dir hier ueberhaupt jemand antwortet. Du nutzt die Distro, in die viele Leute ihre kostbare Zeit reingesteckt haben kostenlos, und auch fuer die Nutzung dieses Forums zahlst du keinen cent. Von daher hast du kein Anrecht auf irgendwas sei froh, wenn dir jemand antwortet und dir hilft und hoere auf hier irgendwelche Leute zu beleidigen. Willst du Support in Sekundenschnelle? ich bin auch nicht scharf darauf mit euch pampig zu werden, aber was erwartet ihr? soll ich euch vielleicht die hand küssen und betteln und flehen oder was? ich hab meine lage im allerersten beitrag ganz freundlich geschildert. auch dass ich anfänger bin hab ich erwähnt, da müsste euch doch klar werden, dass ich keine ahnung habe was ihr für info's braucht, um dem problem auf die spur zu kommen..
und es ist ja nicht so, dass ich erst seit gestern dieses problem habe. das besteht schon seit einem monat, wurde in einem anderen beitrag von mir erklärt. und KEINER hat sich dazu geäußert. also wenn ihr euch so als COMMUNITY rühmt, dann darf ich euch mal die fakten vor die nase halten und euch erklären, dass ich seit einem monat auf hilfe der community warte und hoffe - und das OHNE pampig zu werden.

also bleibt mal alle ganz locker. sagt mir was ihr braucht und ich gebe es euch gerne. ihr könnt nicht von einem anfänger erwarten, dass er schon weiß welche informationen in welchen dateien zur lösung führen.

keine Ahnung ob das damit irgendwie zusammenhängt, aber vielleicht hilft es indirekt:

also das ist ein dual-boot system mit win xp als hauptsystem und linux als sekundärsystem.
unter windows funktioniert der sound und das mikrofon über die audigy einwandfrei. unter linux hatte ich vor dem ton-ausfall auch ton über die Audigy, aber für skype musste ich vom mikrofon-anschluss der Audigy zum onboard-mikrofon-anschluss des mainboards umstecken. ging sonst nicht anders, skype hat den anschluss der audigy nicht angenommen. aber sound ging nicht über die onboard-anschlüsse.

aufgrund dieser tatsache, habe ich eben überprüft, ob vielleicht der sound von der audigy auf onboard umgestellt worden ist - und tatsächlich! der sound kommt jetzt statt über die audigy über onboard-anschlüsse! aber wie stelle ich diese auf die audigy um? es ist doch nicht ok, dass ich bei jedem wechsel des betriebssystems die stecker umstöpseln muss.

fass dir lieber an die eigene nase, bevor du jemand kritisierst. und die königin von england ist im buckingham-palace. wow. hast du vielleicht einen link zum besagten wiki artikel, der das problem löst oder bist du es gewohnt, dass die user hier deine semi-hilfreichen aussagen verwerten können?
Die Onboard Soundkarte wurde ganz einfach als Standart Ausgabegerät auserkoren. Wenn du die nicht brauchst könntest du einfach
blacklist snd-hda-intel
in die /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf eintragen. ansonsten wie im wiki beschrieben die default Device in der /etc/asound.conf festlegen , wobei Audigy2 natürlich durch Audigy ersetzt werden musst.
