Bei manchen Anwendungen ist der Cursor unsichtbar

Hallo,
ich habe das Problem(wie aus dem Titel ersichtlich), dass mein Cursor
bei manchen Anwendungen unsichtbar ist.

Er ist noch vorhanden und ich sehe Veränderungen von Buttons aber den
Cursor selbst halt nicht.

Es gibt schon einige Lösungen dafür, falls der Cursor immer unsichtbar ist.
Bei mir sind jedoch nur manche Anwendungen betroffen.

Einige Anwendungen, bei denen das Problem auftritt:

KUser
Scribus (nur beim Aufziehen von Text- oder Bildrahmen)
Danger from the Deep

verwendest du eine usb- oder ps2-mouse?

werden die anwendungen mit normaler benutzeridentität ausgeführt?

könntest du aus der /etc/X11/xorg.conf den "InputDevice"-abschnitt posten..

Ich habe ein Notebook mit Touchpad und USB-Maus.

Die Anwendungen werden als normaler Benutzer ausgeführt.
Bei KUser kommt die Passwortabfrage von KDE.

EDIT: Ich habe jetzt mal KUser als root von der Konsole aus gestartet. Der Cursor ist wieder zusehen. Hat bei den anderen Programmen jedoch nicht geholfen.

Das selbe Problem.
Ein Ausführen mit sudo hilft auch nicht.

Offenbar hängt das Problem mit dem Openchrome Treiber
zusammen.
Mit vesa ist der Cursor dar.
Allerdings nur der Standard-Cursor. Also kein selbsteingestelltes
Cursortheme oder programminterne Themes.

Da die Nachteile des vesa-Treibers die Vorteile überwiegen, benutze
ich jetzt wieder den Openchrome Treiber.

Mir sind allerdings noch zwei Dinge aufgefallen:

Der Cursor flimmert über Fenstern von Video-Playern oder Spielen
Das Standard X-Cursor-Theme ist immer unsichtbar

Ist das vielleicht ein Bug im Treiber oder könnte es sein, dass ich
nicht ausreichende Berechtigungen habe?
(Ich habe keine Ahnung von Treibern. Ich denke nur an KUser,
wo das Problem als root nicht auftritt.)

Du mußt diese Optionen in der Sektion des Grafikkarten-Treibers setzen, nicht bei der
Maus.

Wenn das alles nichts hilft würde ich mal auf der Openchrome Mailingliste nachfragen
bzw. einen Bugreport dort einstellen.

Mach mal die Änderungen und poste danach mal deine /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Aber bitte
als downloadbare Datei, also Datei hochladen. Nicht hier reinquetschen 😉

Ist ja eigentlich auch logisch, dass die Grafik-
karten-Option auch in die Grafikkarten-Sektion
gehört.
Ich war irgendwie total versessen auf cursor=maus,
dass ich gar nicht daran gedacht habe, dass es falsch
eingetragen ist.

Jetzt funktioniert es wieder.
