Problem mit dem Keymap

Hi,

ich sitze an diesem Problem nun schon seit einigen Tagen:
Ich bekomme es einfach nicht hin, dass die Umlaute akzeptiert werden. Ich fand gerade raus, dass sie hier im xorg-Server und in KDE gehen (öäü :->), aber sie wollen immer noch nicht in der Konsole funktionieren, was aber hin und wieder wichtig sein kann.

Hier meine xorg.conf (mit Ubuntu erstellt, da weder ich, noch hal, sie richtig erstellen konnten, damit die Umlaute (und 3d Beschleunigung) aktiviert waren:

Die rc.conf sieht gut aus, bis evtl. auf:
KEYMAP="de-latin1-nodeadkeys"
Das evtl. mal ändern zu:
KEYMAP=
Keine Ahnung ob der Consolenfont utf8 kann.

Wichtiger ist die /etc/locale.gen zu kontrollieren, dort sollten:
alle de_DE* zeilen nicht kommentiert sein (also ohne #)
Als root dann ausführen:
locale-gen

Sowohl für root (wenn gewünscht) als auch User sollte die Ausgabe von:
locale
dann die de_DE Variamnte wiederspiegeln.

//Edit: Blödsinniges Copy&Paste von mit. Ich neinte bei der rc.conf nicht die keymap
sondern:
CONSOLEFONT="drdos8x16"

Scalar

probier mal in deiner rc.conf die zeile: KEYMAP="de-latin1-nodeadkeys"
in
KEYMAP=de-latin1-nodeadkeys
zu aendern.... so stehts in der wiki und so hab ichs bei mir auch ^^

Ich versuch die Änderung in der rc.conf, wenn diese nachher nicht funktioniert (bin noch ein paar Dateien vom Backuprechner am runterladen) versuch ich den Tipp mit der locale.gen 🙂

und, viel wichtiger:

CONSOLEFONT="lat9w-16"

dann sollte alles samt Umlauten, €-Zeichen etc funktionieren.

Bin der Meinung wie MarcoR, dass das am Font liegt. Das wäre dann, wenn der Keymap stimmt (also z.B. die Eingaben von y, z, / und + passen), aber keine deutschen Sonderzeichen kommen.
lat9w-16 benutze ich iÜ auch.

Ich musste leider den Thread wieder oeffnen und sogar auf Wichtig stellen.
Ich verwende KDEmod. Und leider frisst er die keymap der rc.conf nicht. In der Konsole alles super mit den Tips (Danke nochmal), aber im X-Server (KDE) kann ich Sonderzeichen, Umlaute und Symbole weder schreiben, noch sehen.

Bitte um Hilfe - komm selbst nicht mehr in eine andere Shell.

Hallo Benny,

hast du die /etc/profile mit angepast? Hat zwar ehr mit dem Shellverhalten zu tun aber z.B. für aterm oder sowas meine ich, war das recht wichtig.
Ansonsten hat das Prob ja schon so ziemlich jeder hier beältigen müssen, um es mal übertrieben zu sagen 🙂
Ich weiss ja nicht, wie du die Suchfunktion schon gebraucht hast aber schau doch mal hier:

oder gib unter der Suche einfach mal "Umlaute" ein, da findest en ganzen Berg.

bei mir funzt das so, dann haste zwar kein UTF8 sondern nur ISO aber naja erstmal egal, von da kann man fein zum ausprobieren starten
