Ich nutze Arch64 und bin sehr zufrieden damit! Nicht Arch nutzen.... *kopfschüttel*
Die Konfigurationsdatei sollte im Ordner /etc/Wireless/RT2500STA sein. Sie heißt RT2500STA.dat. Meine Datei für den rt61 Chipsatz sieht folgendermaßen aus (wobei die Konfiguration beim rt2500 glaich aussehen sollte):
