Hallo zusammen,

ich habe mir einen neuen Mini-PC mit einer Intel N95 CPU geleistet. Dieser soll als Mediaplayer mit Kodi im "Standalone-Mode" dienen.

Leider habe ich das Problem dass mir in Kodi bei einer Auflösung von 4096x2160p nur eine maximale Bildwiederholungsrate von 24hz angeboten wird.

Laut den Spezifikation zum Prozessor soll die integrierte Grafikkarte jedoch 60hz packen.

Versucht habe ich es hier auch schon mit dem "modesetting" Treiber...jedoch hat das auch nichts gebracht.

    Was passiert denn wenn du die 20-intel.conf weglässt?
    Eigentlich sollte das alles automatisch gehen.
    Was genau für ein Monitor ist dran? Der sollte das auch packen.
    Normalerweise ließt Xorg den Monitor aus und stellt die GPU darauf ein.

      Die CPU unterstützt HDMI 2.1, aber steht das auch so in der Spezifikation des PC-Herstellers? Und verwendest du auch ein geeignetes HDMI-Kabel (laut Wikipedia sollte es HDMI Premium High Speed oder Ultra High Speed sein)?
      Du könntest mal versuchen, ob 3840x2160 mit 60Hz läuft. Wenn der Bildschirm/Fernseher ein Seitenverhältnis von 16:9 hat, wäre das sowieso die bevorzugte Auflösung.

      Wenn ich mir die 1*-Bewertungen des Kabels anschaue, wäre ich mir da nicht so sicher. Und ich bezweifle, dass das mit den Specs wirklich zertifiziert ist. Es wird als HDMI High Speed bezeichnet und das unterstützt offiziell nur bis 4K@30Hz.

      Also ich kann ausschließen dass es am Kabel oder am TV liegt.

      Ich habe jetzt den Vorgänger aus dem Keller geholt und dort mit selbigen HDMI-Kabel das ganze getestet. Dort wird mir in Kodi 4096@60 Hz angeboten :/

      Moin, mir ist da was aufgefallen im Xorg-Log (von dem ich ausgehe, dass es das aktuellste ist):
      Erstens wird sowieso der Modesetting-Treiber genutzt…

      Ich würde es doch mal ohne den Xorg-Treiber versuchen (xf86-video-intel deinstallieren und die zugehörige Config zum .bak umbenennen). EarlyKMS sollte inzwischen automatisch konfiguriert sein, wie ich gerade gelesen habe, sonst das i915-Modul ins initramfs ein- und dieses überhaupt neubauen. Habe allerdings keine Ahnung, ob das dann tatsächlich einen Unterschied macht.

      Leider waren bisher alle Anläufe nicht von Erfolg gekrönt:

      • Wechsel der Unterschiedlichen Treiber
      • Auch das i915-Modul direkt in's initramfs einzubinden (und auch dies neu zu bauen)
      • Ich hab sogar mittlerweile versucht das EDID-File zu modifizieren und manuell zu laden

      Das Traurige bei dem Ganzen ist, dass der PC mit selbem TV & Verkabelung unter Windows 4k@60hz unterstützt...ich will nur wirklich nicht Windows verwenden...

      Ich gebe es mit dem Teil auf...Geht zurück an den Hersteller und ich nehme lieber ein paar Euro mehr in die Hand um einen kleinen HTPC zusammen zu bauen.
