Ich habe mir eine neue interne Festplatte zugelegt um meinen Speicher zu erweitern.
Ultrastar DC HC550 Enterprise-Festplatte
18 TB
3,5 Zoll
SATA 6 Gbit/s,
SAS 12 Gbit/s
7200 U/min
512 MB Cache
Sie wird erst mal vom System erkannt (sie taucht als /etc/sdd auf).
Wenn ich versuche sie mit fdisk zu partitionieren:
sudo fdisk /dev/sdd

Änderungen werden vorerst nur im Speicher vorgenommen, bis Sie sich
entscheiden, sie zu schreiben.

Ich habe auch gdisk probiert, was erst einmal zu funktionieren schien:

Allerdings wird danach keine Partition sdd1 angezeigt. Es ist nach wie vor nur /dev/sdd vorhanden.
