Du hast damit KMS abgeschalten. Das einzige, was ich gemacht habe, ist die video-Option zu setzen. Sieht bei mir so aus: video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080
Müsstest du natürlich an deinen Display-Output und die gewünschte Auflösung anpassen.
Schade... klappt nicht. Habe mit xrandr den Bildschirmanschluss angefragt:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 3840 x 2160, maximum 32767 x 32767
DP-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-3 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
eDP-1-1 connected primary 3840x2160+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 193mm

Dann habe ich /etc/default/grub die Option video=eDP-1-1:1600x1200 hinzugefügt:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="video=eDP-1-1:1600x1200 loglevel=3 quiet"
Und mit grub-mkconfig die grub.cfg neu erstellt.
Im Bootlog wird mir nun die Option angezeigt, aber die Auflösung ist immer noch bei 3840x2160 in der Konsole:
kernel: Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-linux root=UUID=b512cb6b-9f9d-4892-bb30-81eeed26337f rw video=eDP-1-1:1600x1200 loglevel=3 quiet
Hm ... hab eich etwas falch gemacht? Muss ich KMS zusätzlich ausschalten?
