Hallo zusammen!
Ich hoffe, ihr könnt mir helfen. Und zwar habe ich Arch Linux vor einiger Zeit nach der
offiziellen Installationsanleitung auf meinem Thinkpad T410 neuinstalliert .
Da ich es zuvor auf einer älteren, kleineren Festplatte auf selbigem Notebook installiert hatte, musste ich später nur die Dateien via rsync aus meinem alten Home-Verzeichnis rüberziehen....
Die Installation hat soweit super geklappt, allerdings möchte ich nun die beiden Festplatten gerne tauschen (die alte Festplatte ist ganz normal im Festplatten-Slot und die Neue im PCMCIA-Gehäuse und anstatt des DVD-LWs eingebaut). Hierbei habe ich jedoch die folgenden beiden Probleme:
1. Nach dem Vertauschen der beiden Festplatten im Gehäuse kann ich nicht von der neuen Systemplatte booten :
Das Booten ist wegen meines LVMs nicht so ganz einfach, da ich ja u.a. dem Boot-Loader mitteilen muss, dass er von einem anderen Device booten muss. Dies habe ich in der grub.cfg geändert und ich konnte somit zumindest schonmal booten, allerdings bekomme ich dann weiterhin die folgende Fehlermeldung:
Ich weiß leider nicht so recht, wo ich das ändern muss, dass er nicht versucht auf 'sdb1', sondern auf 'sdb2' zuzugreifen....
2. Hinzufügen einer neuen Festplatte zu meinem vorhandenen LVM :
Ich habe während der Installation einen verschlüsselten LUKS-Container erstellt, in welchem ich dann meine logischen Volumes für
SWAP ,
/home und
/ erstellt habe und
bin nach der Anleitung vorgegangen.
Meine Physical Volume (PV) sieht somit nun folgendermaßen aus:

Ich möchte nun gerne meinem logischen Volume
/home mehr Platz spendieren und habe daher eine Festplatte aus dem Notebook meiner Frau in mein T410 eingebaut, um so nun die Festplatte wie
hier beschrieben zu erweitern.
Jedoch bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher, ob ich dafür z.B. eine neue Volume-Group erstellen muss (wie in dem Artikel mit 'pvcreate /dev/sdY1' beschrieben). Ich will doch nur der bereits vorhandenen Physical Volume-Group ein weiteres logisches Volume hinzufügen und die logical Volume Group erweitern, oder seh ich das falsch?
Ich hoffe, ich habe mich einigermaßen klar ausgedrückt und ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen?
