Hi ihr Archer, ich habe meinen Laptop vor kurzem von Ubuntu 12.04 x64 LTS auf Arch x64 umgestellt.
Auch nach erfolgreicher Installation des Grundsystems, x.org Server, Catalyst legacy 12.6 für Radeon HD 2/3/4000 und KDE kriege ich den X-Server nicht zum laufen.
Catalyst legacy 12.6 für Radeon HD 2/3/4000 habe ich aus dem AUR mit makepkg erstellt und mit pacman installiert.
Das Kernelmodul fglrx läuft. Die /etc/X11/xorg.conf habe ich mit "aticonfig --initial" erstellt.
Der X-Server startet, aber das Bild wird schwarz und der Laptop reagiert nicht mehr, nicht mal auf CTRL + ALT + F1 (SysRQ war deaktiviert -.-).
fglrxinfo gibt folgendes aus:

Weiß jemand was ich noch versuchen könnte?
PS: Mit dem freien radeon-Treiber funktioniert alles. Allerdings habe ich mit dem Treiber auch eine erhöhte Temperatur des Laptops und eine stark verringerte Akku-Laufzeit.
PPS: Ich habe diesen Thread (in leicht abgewandelter Form) in einem anderen Forum schon aufgemacht, falls ihn jemand findet, kann er ihn behalten. 😛
