ich habe cups und hplips bestimmt auch ein halbes dutzend mal "neu" installiert
es klappt aber nur wenn auch ALLE abhängigkeiten DEinstalliert werden,
(da ist irgendwo wo ein bug zu den foomatic abhängigkeiten)
ansonsten wurde bei mir z.B das verzeichnis /usr/share/cups/model/ nicht richtig erstellt
muss so aussehen:
[root@xxx model]# ls -al
insgesamt 28

ebnso fehlte gstoraster.convs im verzeichnis /etc/cups/
---ist poppler installiert ?
die schwarzen seiten kommen imho wenn am ende der /etc/cups/printers.conf
folgendes fehlt, da das drucker model nicht gefunden wurde s.o. ; merkt cups nicht bzw nur in der error.log wenn nach epson gesucht wird
