xorg - Fataler Darstellungsfehler/xorg lässt sich nicht benutzen

Hallo archlinux Forum,

Ich habe vor 3 Tagen archlinux erfolgreich auf einem Partitionierten USB Stick installiert, und es lässt sich wunderbar benutzen. Wenn da nicht dieses Problem mit xorg wäre.
Ich habe schon einiges unternehmen müssen, dass sich xorg überhaupt starten lies. Jetzt da ich es nun endlich geschafft habe, bekomm ich folgende Bilder.

Grüner Balken

Pinker Balken

Mein Mauszeiger.

Nachdem ein paar Änderungen an der rc.conf durchgeführt habe (radeon in die modules hinzugefügt) änderte sich die farbe in pink. Ich verzweifle mittlerweile daran, dass jemals
hinzubekommen. Sogar mein Mauszeiger wird "angezeigt". Bloß in solch verzerrter Art und Weise. Ich sehe sogar, wenn ich ihn bewege.

Noch ein paar Daten zu meiner Hardware:

Grafikkarte: ATI Radeon HD 5770
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965
Und der USB Stick besitzt eine Speicherkapazität von 10 Gigabyte (für Linux) deren Grenze ich noch nicht annähernd erreicht habe. Also noch genug Platz drauf.

Ich hoffe sehr dass mir jemand bei diesem Problem helfen kann

Welchen Treiber benutzt Du? Radeon oder Catastrophe(Catalyst)?

Was gibt der folgende Befehl aus?

lspci -nnk | grep -i vga -A2

Benutzt Du eine xorg.conf? Wenn ja, dann hier bitte posten, habe gerade Nebel in meiner Glaskugel und sehe nix.

So also ich hab mich mal informiert. Ich nutze den Catalyst Treiber.

Ich hatte genau das gleiche Bild. Son komischer Mauszeiger und auch in der Konsole sah es bei mir so aus.

Bei mir lags aber am xf86-video-ati Treiber. Is aber schon merkwürdig, wenn du den Catalyst Treiber nutzt?! Sicher das du nicht doch den freien laufen hast?
Die Ausgabe von lspci -nnk | grep -i vga -A2 ist identisch mit deiner.

Kannst du denn die Konsole sehen wenn du mit Strg+Alt+F1 wechselst?

Bei mir war die Lösung das update von dem xf86-video-ati Treiber. Nun geht alles wieder.

Ja die Konsole funktioniert wunderbar. Alles ganz normal. Wenn ich allerdings dann in der Konsole von meinem Nutzer bin und mit startx versuche den xorg zu starten, dann kommt es zu dem Fehler bzw. es kommt nicht mehr zu dem Fehler sondern zu den Fehlermeldungen in den logs.

Die xf86-video-ati Treiber habe ich bereits entfernt.

Gleiches Problem, gleiche Hardware, gleiche Logs, verwende bis dato auch Catalyst, frisch kompiliert aus dem AUR.

Das is ja echt n Ding. Gleicher Fehler, gleiche Grafikkarte, aber unterschiedlicher Treiber. ^^
Für den xf86-video-ati gibts auf jedenfall nen Fix. Der fehlerhafte war nur kurz da.

Gabs denn kürzlich nen catalyst Update? Dann hilft vielleicht downgraden.

Ich hab das nur im englischen Forum gelesen, dass es eben ein xf86-video-ati Update gab und das is fehlerhaft. Hatten wohl reichlich Leute Probleme mit. Und da stand dann auch ein paar Stunden später, das es bereits ein Update dafür gibt. Dann hab ich blind (ich konnte ja nur dieses Flimmern wie oben auf den Bildern sehen nen pacman -Syu ausgeführt, mit j bestätigt und neugestartet..und alles war wieder wie vorher..

Die fehlerhaft Version gabs nich lange und ich hatte ausgerechnet in der kurzen Zeit nen Update und auch noch nen Neustart gemacht und hab dann gar nichts mehr sehen könnten. Bei mir ging ja nicht mal mehr die Konsole.

Habs jetzt so gelöst:

Downgrade von xorg auf Stand 01.02.12, das heißt, jetzt läuft xorg 1.11

Danach catalyst-daemon und catalyst-utils aus dem AUR installiert und xorg.con angepasst, dass überall fglrx statt vesa (für Problemfixmodus) drin steht. In der rc.conf noch das fglrx-Modul laden lassen, Neustarten, geht wieder. :-)

Jetzt warte ich einfach mal ein wenig ab, was passiert. Ich habe gerade leider nicht die Zeit, mich da eingehender mit zu befassen.

Äh nein, da steht radeon. Damit ist der Treiber hier gemeint: xf86-video-ati. Vorgestern und gestern gab es zwei Updates des Treibers, Version 6.14.4-1 (mit der hatte ich gar kein X mehr) und Version 6.14.4-2 (läuft wieder wie gewohnt).

Der folgende Befehl sagt dir, welche Version bei Dir aktuell ist:

pacman -Qs xf86-video-ati

Das da ist der Catalyst-Treiber. Bist Du sicher, das Du den installiert hast?

Hast Du mal X ohne xorg.conf gestartet? Wenn nicht, dann mach das mal und sag uns, was passiert. Xorg.conf ist obsolet (d.h. sie wird nicht mehr gebraucht), es sei denn, Du brauchst den Catalyst-Treiber oder den proprietären Nvidia-Treiber. Dann reicht es, eine minimale xorg.conf anzulegen, mehr als das folgende braucht nicht drin zu stehen.

So, wie es für mich aussieht, hast Du beide Treiber geladen. Einen von beiden solltest Du dann blacklisten.

als würde nur der vesa treiber geladen. Und das hier:

Sieht aus, als würde der open source ati treiber verlangt, aber nicht gefunden.

Ja, das merkt man. :-) Z.B. hast Du KMS vergessen.

In der /etc/mkinitcpio.conf wird das radeon-Modul noch angegeben.

Installation
Hinweis: Falls einer der freien Treiber installiert war, müssen die Pakete libgl, ati-dri und xf86-video-ati zuerst entfernt werden! Sollte dies wegen Abhängigkeitsproblemen nicht funktionieren, kann die Option 'd' verwendet werden. (pacman -Rd libgl ati-dri xf86-video-ati)

Das "radeon" muss da weg, wenn Du den Catalyst nutzen willst. Nur wenn du xf86-video-ati nutzen willst, gehört das Modul "radeon" da hin.

In der /etc/mkinitcpio.conf wird das Modul "radeon" angegeben (Stichwort KMS), er findet aber das Modul nicht.

Zeig mal bitte Deine Gruppenzugehörigkeit.
