wireless Unterbrechungen im Sekundentakt

Auf mittlerweile drei Archlinux-Maschinen mit verschiedenen WLan-Chips habe ich seit dem letzten Kernel-Update Verbindungsherstellungen und -unterbrechungen im Sekundentakt.

Ich hatte erwartet, hier im Forum viel darüber zu finden, aber offenbar ist es kein Problem? An der Umgebung hat sich nichts geändert, andere Geräte funktionieren einwandfrei (Ubuntu, Windows, Android, ... ). Nur die Archlinux-Geräte driften ab...

Um dir besser helfen zu können, solltest du uns mehr Informationen über deine Systeme geben.
So wäre es interessant zu wissen, welche W-LAN Chipsätze du benutzt.

Erster Anlaufpunkt bei (W-)LAN Problemen ist immer die Log-Dateien /var/log/syslog und /var/log/messages (Einfach mal dmesg eingeben).
Welcher Kernel-Version(en) setzt du ein? Was für einen AccessPoint / Router hast du?

Vergleichsweise Problemfrei arbeiten alle PCs mit Windows oder Ubuntu, auch DualBoot. Archlinux verstolpert sich total.

also das Problem mit der Intel W-LAN Karte kann ich von meiner Seite aus nicht bestätigen.
Die gleiche Karte ist in meinem IBM Thinkpad T43 verbaut und wird ebenfalls vom NetworkManager verwaltet.

Im Gegensatz zu dir habe ich keine Fritz!Box`n bei mir zu Hause.
Für das Erdgeschoss hält ein Linksys WRT54GL mit DD-WRT als AccessPoint her und im Dachgeschoss dümpelt so nen komischer D-Link Router rum ... glaube ich muss mir noch nen WRT54GL kaufen.

Die Firmware für die Karte ist denke ich installiert:

pacman -Q ipw2200-fw

Ansonsten könntest du netcfg2 oder wicd ausprobieren, ob dort die Probleme ebenfalls auftreten.
Bei mir war es vor einiger Zeit mal umgekehrt, denn da machte mir Wicd unter XFCE4 Probleme.

Ansonsten wüsste ich auf Anhieb auch nicht weiter.

Tritt das Disconnect Problem bei jedem Router / AccessPoint auf?
Das wäre nämlich jetzt auch interessant, ob du mit anderen Routern / AP`s ebenfalls Probleme hast.

ja! hier! gleiches Problem, schreibe von meinem androiden aus.... alle können ins WLAN, mein Handy, meine Xbox, mein debian... nur archlinuxrechner ( pc + netbook) zicken rum... schiebe hier schon voll den Frust. sollte ich den Kernel downgraden?

Ich bins nochmal, wenn ich meinen Androiden als Router benutze, bricht die Verbindung nicht ab.
Sonst benutze ich einen W723V Speedport von der teutschen Telekom...

Es liegt wohl wirklich an der Kombination Router/Wlanchip. Aber wieso sollte ein Kernelupdate daran schuld sein? Es hat doch vorher auch wirklich wunderbar ein halbes jahr funktioniert (Hab den Router erst ein halbes Jahr).

Das seltsamste ist:
Angefangen hat es damit, dass die Verbindung nur noch dann funktionierte, wenn ich im selben Raum war, wie der Router. Dann fing es an, dass wicd gar keine Verbindung mehr aufbauen konnte. Bzw wicd zeigte so eine halbe Sekunde "Done connecting" an und dann "not connected".

Weiß wer Rat? Ich bin sowas von gefrustet, hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich so WLAN Abhängig bin...

Da hatte ich doch wieder mal ein gutes Auge :-D aber ich sprach bei meinem Thread aus Erfahrung, denn mit meinem Thinkpad T43 hatte ich bei meinem Bekannten ... der eben auch ne Fritz!Box hat ... massive Probleme, die Verbindung zu halten.

Schön aber, dass das Problem nun gefunden wurde.
