CUPS OKI B411d - falscher Treiber

Hallo Zusammen,

ich habe nun nach langem Hin und Her endlich meinen Drucker einrichten können.

Einen OKI B411d Mono Laserdrucker. Dieser befindet sich mit einem Printserver in meinem Netzwerk. Mit Windows kann ich wunderbar drucken. Damals mit openSUSE konnte ich es auch.
Der Drucker wird erkannt und auch angesprochen. Bei jedem Druckauftrag erfolgt die "Warmlaufphase" und danach sagt CUPS mir, dass der Druckauftrag erfolgreich abgeschlossen wurde. Natürlich wurde nichts gedruckt. Nach der Warmlaufphase hört der Drucker auf und macht nichts. Es wird auch keine Testseite gedruckt.

Wenn ich eine Selbsttestseite drucken lasse, wird auch was gedruckt. Aber auf dem Blatt steht nur "You are using wrong driver". Das kann aber eigentlich nicht sein. Ich habe mir bei OKI auf der Homepage extra den Treiber bzw. die .ppd-Datei runtergeladen.

Das Problem erscheint auch wenn ich den Drucker anders einrichte. Momentan ist er als LPD eingerichtet. Mache ich es anders, erscheint die gleiche Meldung.

Kennt jemand das Problem und weiß wie ich es lösen kann?

Ich habe hier den OKI B410 und mit den Treibern aus dem AUR klappt alles wunderbar.

Sorry, dass ich erst so spät antworte. Die Arbeit drängt mich momentan zur Freizeitlosigkeit.

Danke für deine Antwort. Eigentlich ist das der Treiber, den ich mir bei OKI direkt geladen habe. Aber ich werde ihn mal aus dem AUR installieren.

Jo ist schon klar. Aber hast du auch das Skript rastertookimonochrome angepasst? Da passen teilweise die Pfadangaben nicht. Siehe das PKGBUILD.

OKI hat anscheinend rastertookimonochrome geändert. Mit der neuen Version hatte ich damals auch Probleme. Hier mal die Version die bei mir funktioniert.

Hallo Zusammen,

ich habe den Treiber aus dem AUR installiert und auch nach Wiki-Anleitung CUPS deinstalliert und wieder installiert.

Mittlerweile steht direkt wenn ich den Druckauftrag an den Drucker schicke bei CUPS "Auftrag wurde gestoppt!" (Oder so ähnlich). Wenn ich wieder eine Selbsttestseite drucken lasse, erscheint immer noch die Meldung wegen dem falschen Treiber.

Wie kann ich das "rastertookimonochrome" ändern? Wenn ich mir den Treiber von der OKI-Seite lade und es dort ändere, erhalte ich eine Fehlermeldung während der Installation.

Ich hab noch ein wenig mehr rumprobiert und ich hoffe ich habe eine Verbesserung erzielt.

Der Druckauftrag wird jetzt jedesmal gestoppt. Egal was ich drucken möchte. Es steht immer dort

gestoppt "Can't detect file type"

Kann das eventuell auch damit zusammenhängen, dass ich den Printserver den ich benutze unter Windows konfiguriert habe?

Ohne dir konkret helfen zu können, aber bei cups-problemen bietet sich immer an, den Log-Level kurzzeitig hochzusetzen. Wo und an was es hängt erfährt man oftmals nur so...

Danke, ich hab den LogLevel mal so eingestellt, wie es im Wiki steht. Jetzt hab ich auch einige Ergebnisse erhalten. Ich poste einfach mal einen Ausschnitt aus dem error_log von cups.

Am Anfang wird ja schon ein unbekannter Dokumententyp reklamiert. Danach passieren ja keine Fehler mehr. Auch wenn es mich ein wenig stutzig macht, dass das Verzeichnis /bin/grep/ nicht gefunden wird.

Kann damit vielleicht jemand was anfangen? Langsam nervt mich das Problem ziemlich. Ich kapier einfach nicht, warum der diesen Fehler bei einer Testpage erzeugt.

Kann das denn daran liegen, dass ich den PrintServer als LPD eingerichtet habe? Ich habe den Server damals von Windows aus konfiguriert.

Nachdem grep in der Gruppe base ist sollte es ja eigtl. installiert sein. Problem wird wohl eher sein, dass in der rastertookimonochrome der Pfad zu grep nicht richtig angegeben ist.

Bei mir ergibt ein

which grep
/usr/bin/grep

und rastertookimonochrome hat den Pfad wohl mit /bin/grep angegeben. Also einfach den Pfad anpassen und evtl. gehts es dann schon.

Wo kann ich das rastertookimonochrome nachträglich noch ändern? Ich habs gestern irgendwo vor meinem post gefunden, aber jetzt nicht mehr.

Ich habe den Eintrag für Grep mal angepasst. Jedoch erscheint immer noch die Fehlermeldung, "Can't detect file type" Das kann aber doch gar nicht sein. Egal was ich drucken möchte, es wird nichts gedruckt. Ob .pdf .doc .ods. Es wird einfach immer wieder mit dem selben Fehler abgebrochen.

Nach langen Hin und Her hab ich endlich den Drucker zum Drucken gebracht. Ich habe als Treiber einfach den für den B400 aus dem Foomatic-Paket benutzt.

Je einfacher die Lösung, desto schwerer kommt man drauf. Aber ein Gutes hatte es ja, ich habe mein System besser kennenlernen.

Ich dachte, das Problem wäre vorbei. Das neue Problem liegt weniger bei CUPS als vielmehr an meinem benutzen Printserver. Es ist ein Gerät von TP-Link. Bisher hat es super funktioniert, auch damals unter SUSE.

Auf meinem Studien Notebook habe ich Windows 7 laufen. Ich habe den Printserver auch damals darüber konfiguriert. Jetzt ist es so, seit ich den Drucker bei CUPS eingetragen habe, wird von Windows nichts mehr gedruckt. Vielmehr blockiert Windows den Printserver.

Wenn ich unter Windows etwas drucken möchte, steht in der Warteschlange die ganze Zeit "wird gedruckt". Aber es kommt nichts. Möchte ich dann etwas von Arch drucken, kommt auch nichts. Der Printserver wird bei beiden Systemen plötzlich nicht mehr erkannt. Erst ein Reset des Printservers hilft hier und ich kann nur von Arch drucken.

Hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem oder weiß wie man den Fehler behebt?

Hab den Fehler gefunden. Der Printserver hatte ne Macke und nach erneuter Installation ging es wieder. Dass ich den Printserver nicht finden konnte lag am aktivierten Virtualbox-Ethernet-Adapter bei Windows 7. Nach der Deaktivierung klappte alles super.
