Fehler: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad mit Xorg-Server 1.8

Hallo,

seit xorg-server 1.8 bekomme ich diese Fehlermeldung (EE):

Welche Korrekturen muss ich machen, um die obigen Fehlermeldungen (EE) abzustellen?

Ich kriege diese Meldungen auch, nur um für dich zu bestätigen, dass es nicht direkt an deiner Hardware liegt. Genauer gesagt sogar noch ein paar Mehr als du

Wie man das löst etc weiß ich nicht, ich bin da auch eher so, dass mir das nichts ausmacht, solang alles funktioniert

Hi,

ich habe hier zur Zeit vier Laptops, die alle unter Arch laufen (sowohl Neuinstallationen als auch Altinstallationen) und auf allen bekomme ich diese Fehlermeldung, wenn "xf86-input-synaptics" installiert ist. Ohne installiertes "xf86-input-synaptics" sind die Touchpads nicht bedienbar, weil der Mauszeiger springt und nicht exakt positionierbar ist.

Erschwerend kommt bei einem der vier Laptops dieses Problem hinzu, zu dem ich auch keine Lösung finde, obwohl Guuugl einen Haufen Treffer findet.

Dazu in der /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf folgendes einfügen:

Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "disabling synaptic second mouse found"
        MatchProduct "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad"
        MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event5"
        Option "Ignore" "on"
EndSection

Eventuell musst du noch den MatchDevicePath ändern, siehe hierzu deine Xorg.0.log.

Ich bin Deinem Vorschlag gefolgt und habe die Datei /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf erweitert und habe MatchDevicePath auf "/dev/input/event6" gesetzt. Was meinst Du, ist das jetzt so korrekt?

Sollte soweit passen. Kommt denn noch immer die Fehlermeldung wenn du X startest? Falls event6 nicht das richtige war kannst du es noch mit mouse0 probieren.

Ich musste da auch bissl rumprobieren bis ich das richtige erwischt hatte. ;-)
