Scanner nicht nutzbar

Hallo Leuts,

ich sitze gerade vor einem Problem, an dem mein Kopf die weiße Fahne zeigt und nicht mehr weiter weiß. Skanlite wie auch XSane sagen mir, dass sie den Scanner "Mustek 1200 UB Plus" nicht öffnen können. Das seltsame an der Sache ist aber, dass die gt68xx-firmware installiert und eingerichtet ist ... Auch zeigt mir scanimage -L den Scanner an:

Genutzt wird Arch64 mit KDE 4.2.4 aus dem extra-Repository.
Ich vermutete erst einen Defekt am USB-Port, weshalb ich diesen wechselte aber auch hier das gleiche Probleme. Der Scanner wird erkannt, kann aber nicht mir XSane & Co. genutzt werden. Auch mit scanimage selbst kann ich nichts scanner ...

Es tauchen dann wieder die USBDEVFS_CONTROL Meldungen auf.

Da ich weiß, dass mein Scanner die Datei "sbfw.usb" für den Betrieb braucht, wurde auch die Datei /etc/sane.d/gt68xx.conf entsprechend konfiguriert:

vendor "Lifetec"
model "LT 9452"
firmware "/usr/share/sane/gt68xx/sbfw.usb"

Die Firmware wurde mit dem Paket sane-gt68xx-firmware aus dem Community Repo installiert.
Da ich den doofen Scanner heute noch brauch, wäre ich für Hilfe dankebar, damit das Teil wieder funktioniert. Aktiviere Repos sind nur core, extra und community. Letztes Update war heute morgen.

mit scanimage selbst kann ich nichts scanner ...

Beim -d bei scanimage gibst du libusb:002:005 an, statt 002:004 der --list Ausgabe.

Dann weiß ich leider auch nicht, ggf. mal --verbose nutzen..

ja in der Gruppe "scanner" bin ich. Die Fehlermeldung kommt auch beim Benutzer "root". Port gewechselt hatte ich ( 4x ) aber bisher ohne erfolgt. komischerweise ging es mal aber da war's glaube noch Kernel 2.6.29-3 ... werde den Scanner gleich bei am PC meines Vaters testen, der hat Arch32.

Lustigerweise will der Scanner gerade überhaupt nicht mehr, auch erscheint in dmesg:

Frag mich nur woher der das pardevice nimmt, denn ein Drucker ist direkt nicht angeschlossen. Darüber hinaus fällt mir grad ein, dass ich VirtualBox installiert und das vboxdrv Modul geladen habe. Mal testen ob es ohne vboxdrv funktioniert. Melde mich dann noch mal.

Also weder am PC meiner Eltern (Archlinux, i686) noch an meinem (Arch64) funktioniert der Scanner, also tippe ich auf ein Kernel Problem. Bevor ich jetzt nen Bugreport mache, schaue ich mal nach ner Lösung.

kann auch einfach sein, dass dein Mustek abgeraucht ist. Die machen das gerne am Ende. 🙂

die Vermutung habe ich auch gerade, denn alle anderen Geräte funktionierten ... also liegt hier eigentlich kein Problem seitens USB vor oder irre ich mich da?

die firmware wird nicht richtig geladen steht im debug, wäre vielleicht auch sinnvoll in der dll.conf nur das backend zu aktivieren was man benutzen möchte, damit kein anderes backend drauf zugreift.

Seltsamer Scanner ... schade dass ich keinen weiteren zum Testen da habe. Mein aktueller Mustek 1200 UB Plus scheint anscheinend defekt zu sein. Auch nachdem ich im die Firmware aufgezwungen habe, will er nicht mit dem Scanner reden ... doofes Teil.

Ich hatte auch wie TPowa schon schrieb, alle Module deaktiviert ... bis auf gt68xx. No chance.

Naja, müssen sich meine Eltern doch nen neuen kaufen 🙁

Ich schreib mal eben hier mit rein, da ich den gleichen Scanner habe. (Medion LT9452/Mustek 1200 UB Plus)

Mein Scanner wird zwar erkannt, aber wenn ich ein Dokument scanne, bekomme ich absolut unleserliche Ergebnisse. An manchen Stellen kann man gerade noch so etwas wiedererkennen, es wird also scheinbar durchaus irgendwas gescannt, aber die Ergebnisse sind trotzdem ungenügend.

Scheint es doch ein Problem mit dem gt68xx Backend von Sane zusammenhängen, ggf. mit dem Kernel? Kann ja mal bei Gelegenheit einen älteren Kernel testen, denn es ging mal und ich glaube nicht, dass von heute auf morgen das Teil kaputt geht.
Zumal er noch erkannt wird aber nicht angesprochen werden kann.

Entweder bin ich bescheuert oder Sane mag mich wirklich nicht.

sane-find-scanner findet den Scanner (als root) aber scanimage -L bringt mir "Nix gefunden" ...

Beide Befehle wurden als "root" ausgeführt, welcher eigentlich auf alles Zugriff haben sollte. Wo liegt nun das Problem? Am gt68xx Backend, am Kernel oder gar komplett an Sane?

Probier mal nen Reboot und boote gleich mit Scanner dran, das hat bei mir geholfen (falls noch nicht geschehen). Ist zwar sehr Windows-mäßige Methode, aber was solls 😉

Wobei meine Ergebnisse ja wie gesagt noch nicht zufriedenstellend sind.

Reboot tut gut 😉 aber nicht bei meinem Scanner. Der scheint wirklich kaputt zu sein.
