Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG WLAN falsch eingerichtet?

nabend liebe archer,
habe mir endlich mal ein Notebook ge kauft und das einrichten war bis jetzt echt kein prob.
nur beim wlan scheitert es... (mache so etwas gerade auch zu ersten mal)
also ich habe iwlwifi-3945-ucode mit den dazu gehörenden Paketen installiert.
und mich danach an folgendes Wiki gehalten http://wiki.archlinux.de/?title=Networkmanager (benutze Gnome Desktop) aber irgendwie klappt es nicht... (über Kabel geht es das erkennt der gnome-network-manager) wenn ich versuche eine wlan Verbindung aufzubauen schmiert er ab.

Auf welchem Kanal funkt dein Wlan? Ich hab selbe Karte und Treiber. Der wollte mit Kanal 13 nicht arbeiten auf 1 gehts hingegen.

Alternativ mal WICD benutzen. Der läuft bei mir wunderbar.

Habe es jetzt:
ich habe zwar nach angaben von meinem Händler ne Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG WLAN (802.11a/b/g)
lspci sagt mir aber: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection naja nu hab ich den 4965 treiber genommen bei den modulen inna rc.conf eingetragen und sihe da es geht.
