Meine Media-Player stürzen allesamt beim abspielen von Videodateien ab!

Hi...

Ich habe hier ein kleines Problem.

Ich habe eine mp4-Datei und auch eine Avi-Datei...
Keine von beiden lässt sich abspielen...

Sowohlder Mplayer als auch Totem stürzen sofort ab.

Woran kann das liegen?
Ich habe das Paket "codecs" installiert..

.
Hier mal die Fehlermeldung wenn ich totem als root starte:

P.S.: Mein Elisa Media Center tut es auch nicht...
Man sieht den SplashScreen und das wars... (vllt hängt das ja irgendwie zusammen, wichtiger sind jedoch die Videos)

Kann mir da einer helfen?

Also normalerweise startest du die proggies schon als normaler user und aus X heraus? Naja, wirst du wohl, wenn du schon gnome drauf hast.
Jedenfalls resultieren die beiden letzten Errors aus dem ersten, "Authentication Rejected".
Gnome läuftalso problemlos und der Sound geht auch?

Dein bash-Prompt sieht etwas komisch aus, oder sagen wir mal: ziemlich frisch. Hast du denn schon einen HOSTNAME (sollte in der rc.conf und in /etc/hosts stehen)?

Ja ich will die Dateien einfach als normaler User abspielen, aus gnome...

Ausschnitt meiner rc.conf:

dann stimmt da was nicht mit der /etc/hosts oder?

Was muss ich denn in die hosts eintragen?

Hast du denn an deinem System irgendwas spezielles eingestellt? Vll. an PAM oder so? Normal geht das ja.

Ok hab ich getan... ich werd gleich mal rebooten...
Momentan wird der Fehler dadurch jedoch nicht behoben... 🙁

mmhh... da klingelt was...

aber ich weiß nicht ob es das ist:
Ich habe gestern oder vorgestern in /etc/pam.d herumgefummelt

ich hbe irgendwo etwas gelesen, dass ich durch die Zugabe einer Zeile verhindern könnte, dass mein network-manager nach dem Login immer nach dem Passwort fragt...

Ich habe auch gnome-keyring und gnome-keyring-manager installiert.
Danach habe ich in der /etc/pam.d/gdm einen Eintrag vorgenommen, nachdem mein System nach dem Booten aber kein Login mehr zulies.... Ich habe die Zeile dann aber entfernt und nun ging wieder alles...

Ich kann leider nicht genau sagen ob das Problem mit meinen Mediaplayern erst danach auftrat, da ich nicht oft Videos abspiele...

Warum postest du immer die Fehler-Ausgabe von bash-3.2# totem (root) Die Fehlerausgabe von deinem User ist maßgeblich. Außerdem in welcher Gruppe dieser User ist. Kannst du einen Link
zu den MP4-Dateien liefern?

Hatte das auch mal bei Ubuntu. Lag daran, dass meine Grafikkarten Treiber nicht richtig installiert waren.

Kannst du einfach testen indem du als Videoausgabe Modul X11 statt XV benutzt. Wenn du mit X11 Videos gucken kannst liegt es an den Treibern.

Wenn ich die Dateien mit Avidemux abspiele, dann kommt erst eine Fehlermeldung, dass der Index nicht mehr aktuell ist und dann popt auf das der Sound nicht gehen wird...

Die Dateien sind 100%ig in Ordnung...

Es handelt sich hierbei um Lost-Folgen und um Urlaubsvideos (die in .mov)

Es wird kein Format abgespielt...

Ich habe echt keine Ahnung was das sein kann 🙁

Ich habe mal einen anderen User hinzugefügt und habe mich nach einem X-Server-Neustart mit dessen Login-Daten eingeloggt...

Mit diesem User ist ein abspielen der Dateien kein Problem...

Es liegt also an mir, bzw. meinen Rechten...

Wie gehe ich da weiter vor?

Ich würde einfach die Ordner der Player löschen, werden beim erstmaligem Starten eh wieder angelegt.

cd ~
rm -rf .vlc .mplayer .xine

und was du halt sonst noch für Player hast.

Versuch auch mal XVideo in der xorg.conf zu deaktiveren
